Sales tax is determined by delivery address and applied to orders being delivered to addresses in Virginia.
As soon as your order is submitted it is processed in our system. In most cases the order cannot be adjusted once it has been submitted. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have made an error or need to make a change to the order and our customer service team will do their best to accommodate you.
Our customer service representatives are not able to place any orders over the phone. All orders must be placed through our website by the customer. If you need any assistance with ordering please feel free to get in touch and we can guide you through the process.
The items we use for our product pictures are taken directly from our available inventory. Unfortunately since we have such a large quantity of each it is not possible to provide a picture of each and every item that we have available. The product images are meant to be an accurate representation of what you will receive however items may vary slightly in color, condition, or design. Our customer service staff is unable to provide any individual pictures of items.
We buy our used equipment from a variety of suppliers. They range from some of the biggest ski resorts in the country to smaller, local rental shops. We do not purchase any gear from individual sellers.
The condition of all of our used equipment varies from item to item. All skis and snowboards will have their condition rating listed at the end of the product title with a tab that shows our ratings system on their product page. Other used items such as boots, snowboard bindings, poles, or helmets do not have individual condition ratings as they all show cosmetic wear and tear. All items that do not have individual ratings will have signs of use such as scratches, scuffs, scrapes, and wear from normal use.
In order to keep our prices as low as possible we do not include a tune up in the cost of skis or snowboards. We do offer tune ups as an extra service that we can perform prior to your order shipping. If it is within your budget, it is strongly suggested as a tune up will increase the performance and overall base and edge condition of skis and snowboards.
All of our used skis and some of our new skis will arrive to you with the bindings already mounted on the ski. They are NOT set up for use and we do not offer binding setup service at this time. Your skis should always be taken to your local certified ski binding technician in order to be serviced and adjusted to your specifications. Failure to have ski bindings set up and tested prior to use and at least once per season thereafter can result in serious injury. Under no circumstances shall Galactic Snow Sports be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages due to negligence in alpine ski binding setup or failure to have this service performed by a certified technician.
Due to the way our orders are packaged and the variances in preferred snowboard binding setup, bindings will not be mounted prior to shipment. The setup process is fairly easy and can be accomplished with only a philips head screwdriver.
