The K2 Anagram is a good beginner Twin shaped snowboard despite the fact it has an extruded base. An extruded base is less expensive and more sturdy but a bit slower than the very common sintered base you see on most snowboards. The one positive is about an extruded base is that it doesn’t require consistent waxing and that makes it good for beginners. Another issue with extruded bases is they are a bit more difficult to repair. The Anagram now has a very smooth rocker that makes for a catch free and stable ride. K2 makes one of the better continuous rocker snowboards out there. The Anagram has built in more tech than your average snowboard for this price. We’d like to see a little more edge hold but it’s still pretty good. So you loose a little speed, which is ok if you are a beginner/intermediate rider, but you get a board that has a good all around catch free performance. This is perfect for those that want to learn a bit of everything in the park and mountain.
