A fast and durable Lightspeed base gives speed and strength in a low maintenance base while the Super Fly II Dualzone EGD wood core with a kid-specific construction reduces weight while adding pop (response). This vertical sandwich of hard and soft woods saves weight for maximum performance in a small package making it easier to carve. EGD stands for engineered grain direction, a process in which wood is placed at a 45 degree angles under the snowboard bindings, thereby providing an optimal combination of edge grip and durability. By running this wood grain perpendicular to the core only under the bindings, both carving precision and overall snow feel are greatly enhanced. These boards are used in good condition with normal wear and tear. Handmade in Austria Burton snowboards have a trademarked 3D mounting pattern that is NOT COMPATIBLE with all snowboard bindings. Make sure the bindings you intend to mount on a Burton board have the discs that are compatible with the 3D hole pattern.
